Pre-1920 Marriage records from Kupiskis which shows my g-grandfather has having come from Linkuva. The information there is:

BRIDE FATHER'S NAME: Zelman
CITIZEN: Linkuva
BRIDE'S STATUS: Single
AGE: 23
RABBI: PERES D.
WITNESS: KASEL, Aron
WITNESS: DAVIDOVICH, Shimen-Abe

I know that Khaia-Rokhlia VELER was born in Kupiskis and that Zelman VELER married Baso TSINDEL (b. 1862 in Kupiskis). He had 4 children I know of - my gm Chaya Rochala, Hodl, Haim and Yachte

I also know from the Kupiskis Holocaust Victims List that Zelman VELER died during the summer of 1941 in the Holocaust at the age of 70 which would make is date of birth about 1871. Yachte VELER also died then as well as other members of the TSINDEL family.

In the All Lithuanian Revision List Database there is a mention of a Orel VELER (son of Yudel VELER) for the town of Linkuva - Revision List Index LVIA/515/25/427

The names Orel, Leyb & Yudel VELER are also mentioned in a message I received from Saul Issroff a while back.
